The intent of this assignment is to familiarize students with the library, scientific databases, reading of scientific literature in the exercise sciences, and increase comfort with critically analyzing peers. Students will locate a current (no more than 18 months old), peer-reviewed, original (no reviews) scientific article related to the exercise sciences and of interest to you. Read the chosen article thoroughly and mark up the article with your comments, questions and notes. Summarize and critique the article following the directions and using the template provided on Blackboard. Then, share the article and critique with your assigned classmate, who will read and peer assess their partner’s article and critique using the rubric provided.
