UpToDate does not require boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT), or limiters (date, subject area, source type, etc.). Do not try and search by author, journal title, or date. UpToDate is constantly updating itself; there are no journals, and each topic guide has many references. UpToDate is made to function for busy health science workers on the go, and thus requires little information to be typed in before completing a search.
