Non-Scholarly Articles - Articles that are written by writers by profession such as journalists

Characteristics - Non-Scholarly articles typically consist of news or magazine sources, and cover current events.

Examples: 

Social Media, Mental Health, and Lawyers' Well-Being

Nike Taps UCLA Women’s Soccer Star Reilyn Turner as Its First College Student Athlete Sponsorship

Books - Books used for research purposes are typically used to gain an overview of a topic, person, or event and are much longer

Characteristics - Multiple chapters, written by subject experts, often includes information about events further in the past than articles
